*Registration fee for virtual and on-demand access includes viewing live all scheduled presentations of APFSIC. Registrants will also be able to download the PPT files that are authorized for sharing by the speakers. Registrants will receive a link and unique password to access the content.

Payment Methods

Please specify how you wish to settle the registration fee. An invoice will be emailed to you with instructions for making your payment.

Note: Your registration is confirmed and valid only after full payment is received and processed by the APFSIC Organizer.

Terms & Conditions

  • The APFSIC Organizer reserves the right to cancel or change the content, timing and speakers of the program without notice.
  • In the event of natural or man-made causes that are beyond our control, the APFSIC Organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event or change venue without incurring liability to attendees.
  • The information you provided in your registration form may be used to contact you about any future food related events and/or may be shared with event sponsors unless you explicitly request otherwise.
  • By registering to attend the APFSIC, all attendees agree to be bound by, and comply with, these Terms and Conditions. It is the attendee's responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions. Attendees hereby also indemnify APFSIC Organizer and agents against and holds it harmless from all or any loss or damage, injury, actions, proceedings or claims arising from any act or omission of the attendee during the course of the APFSIC.

Group Registrations

Group registration is available by contacting Peter Lee: peter.lee@infoexws.com. All members of the group must register at the same time under a single invoice for payment. Separate invoices are not provided for each member of your group.

Cancellations

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing. Where written cancellation is received on or before December 31, 2020, attendees will receive a refund of the amount paid less 50% administration costs. There will be no refund for cancellation received from January 1, 2021 onwards. Substitutions may be made at any time at no extra charge, subject to requests being received in writing and approved by the APFSIC Organizer.

Conference Language

The official language of the conference is English.

Privacy Notice

Personal Information Collection Statement:

This is a personal information collection statement under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance ("the Ordinance").

a.    Purpose of Collection
The personal data provided by you to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University ("PolyU") will be collected, retained, processed, used and transferred (within or outside of Hong Kong) for the following purposes:

  • Processing your registration of 5th Asia-Pacific Food Safety International Conference;
  • Facilitating communications with you;
  • Facilitating implementation of PolyU's policies and procedures, and monitoring compliance with the same;
  • Enabling PolyU to comply with any applicable procedures, laws, regulations or court orders (in each case whether in Hong Kong or overseas), any requests by government, statutory, regulatory or law enforcement authority, and valid legal processes, ordinances obligations;
  • Conducting quality assurance, surveys and review, statistical analysis, and research; and
  • Other purposes directly relating to any of the above.

b.    You are required to provide your personal data, other than those items indicated as optional. Failure to provide such data may lead to inability to process your registration.

c.    Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data
PolyU will keep your personal data confidential and only authorized members will have access to and handle your personal data. PolyU may disclose or transfer your personal data to service providers and contractors engaged in activities on behalf of PolyU within or outside Hong Kong solely for the purposes set out in paragraph 1 above.

PolyU may also disclose your personal data when authorized or required by law and in response to requests from law enforcement agencies, government departments or regulatory authorities, or where required to protect PolyU's rights or properties.

d.    Access and Correction of Personal Data
You have the right to request for access and correction of your personal data held by PolyU. Any data access and correction request according to the Ordinance should be made in writing to the Innovation and Technology Development Office, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong or by email at itdo@polyu.edu.hk. A fee may be imposed for processing your data access request.

e.    Security, Accuracy and Retention of your Personal Data
PolyU takes reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misappropriation, unauthorized access or destruction of your data. PolyU also takes reasonable steps to ensure that all personal data held by it is accurate, complete, correct and reliable for the intended use.
Your personal data will be retained by PolyU according to its policy on retention of data and records.
